Purchased by Isabella Stewart Gardner from the dealer Francesco Dorigo, Venice for 2,800 lire on 22 September 1897. (as a set of eight pairs of 15th century balconies)
Commentary
Isabella Stewart Gardner kept meticulous records of many of her acquisitions. In keeping with this legacy, object information is continually being reviewed, updated, and enriched in order to give greater access to the collection.
