This oil painting depicts the Christian Saint Anthony. He is standing on a red platform, wearing a blue robe, and holding a branch with red leaves in his left hand and a child in his right arm. The child has black hair and is wearing a red gown; he is also holding a branch like Saint Anthony. Saint Anthony has dark hair with a tonsure, or bald spot, on the top of his head and a halo surrounding his head. The panel has decorative corners and details around the Saint and child and a simple, light colored background.
