This tiny, hand painted, porcelain snuff bottle has a rounded body, flattened so that there are two wide sides and two thin sides. It narrows at the top into a short neck that flares slightly at its lip. There is a stepped, domed, dark green enamel stopper with a tiny, rounded knob at its top center. The body is translucent, white-glazed with pink and yellow petaled flowers at the neck and a flowering vine leading down each narrow side. A scene on both of the two wide sides shows a white-spotted, brown deer with a small rack of antlers pawing the green grass with one foreleg. A tall, curving, large leafed tree shades the deer and shelters two large orange flowers. A white crane, to the left of the deer, is perched on a green hill on one tall thin leg. The crane’s beak is open, facing the deer.
