This three-tiered gilded copper pedestal is adorned with lotus and other carvings. The slightly domed base has a flat bottom surface. A band of detailed of lotus carvings appears all around the base. A beaded rim appears above the blossom carvings. The top of the base is a flat surface. Next is a smaller, rounded section with a carved pattern all around. The top section resembles a large bowl with a wide flat surface on top. Three rows of lotus blossoms surround this section. The ends of the petals curve out, mimicking the movement of the blossoms in response to light and air. The top of the pedestal has a round rimmed section in the center where a statue would be placed. Around this section is a carved row of scalloped blossoms.
