This small vertical etching, which consists of black lines on pale blue paper, shows a light-skinned woman turned part way to our left and looking downward. She appears to be carrying or setting down a tray with plates and food on it at the lower left of the image. Her hair is upswept, and she is wearing a long-sleeved dress with puffy sleeves and perhaps also an apron. The etched lines are soft, energetic, and mostly spare, but thicker at the woman’s head and at the top and side of her dress. There is the suggestion of a hearth in the background on the left side of the image. The etching is signed and dated on the plate at the lower left, and signed by the artist at the margin on the lower right.
