This watercolor painting depicts a horse and jockey leaving the paddock and entering a racetrack. The sleek brown bob-tailed horse is seen from behind, ridden by a jockey wearing a red cap and red-and-blue shirt. A man in a bowler hat, also seen from behind, is leading the horse by the bridle. Various other male figures populate the scene. The artist’s signature is present in the lower right corner.
