This small print shows a suspension bridge crossing a wide, busy river. There are dozens of rotting pilings under the bridge on the left side. The foreground contains several small and large boats in a decrepit, semicircular wharf. The river opens towards the lower edge of the print and extends under the pilings of the bridge toward the distant, hazy shore where the sky is darkening above the horizon.
