This 18th century Venetian white marble bust depicts a male with very curly hair that falls below his shoulders. He has arched eyebrows and wide eyes that are missing pupils. He has a prominent nose and a cleft or dimpled chin. There is a ribbon around his neck that appears to be a placket running down the front of his shirt. His shirt is gathered at a plain neckline, and he wears a fancy shawl draped across his right side that is decorated with scroll-like brocade prominently featuring a crown. The bust is displayed on a blue variegated marble pedestal.
