Frog Figurine, late 19th century

This small figurine of a frog is from late nineteenth-century China. The color of the jade varies from a pale green to a milky white. The frog sits on its haunches on a lily pad with its front legs extended so that its head tilts upward. Its mouth and eyes appear to be shut.
