This oil painting shows Christ, seated on our right, delivering the keys of heaven to Saint Peter who kneels in front of him.  Gathered behind Saint. Peter are three standing light-skinned female figures who are dressed in green, coral and off-white gowns.  Two of the women have on head veils.  Christ is shown as an adult with medium color skin, long dark hair and a subtle halo.  His gaze is downward.  He is dressed in a pink gown with white showing at the neckline and end of the sleeves.  He has a royal blue cloak over his shoulder and lap.  The slender fingers of his left hand hold a clear orb on his lap and he holds two keys in his right hand; one gold and one silver.  This hand is outstretched toward St. Peter, who has medium-color skin, is bald at the top of his head with dark hair at the back and a gray beard.  He is dressed in a reddish brown robe and has his hands outstretched to accept the keys.   To our left, the female standing behind St. Peter wears a flowing green dress and a gold trimmed green hat.  She has pale skin, light brown hair and has her right hand on St. Peter’s shoulder.  Continuing to our right is a female figure dressed in a red dress with a pale pink scarf about her head and shoulders.  She has reddish hair, a ruddy complexion and looks sternly at the women dressed in green.  She has her hands on the arm and shoulder of the third woman, who is dressed in a cream colored dress that has a lace insert at her bodice.  She has pale skin, rosy cheeks and chin length blonde hair.  She is looking at the woman dressed in green.  Behind them is a blue sky with white clouds at the horizon.
