To the viewer’s right, a woman in a white dress and a black cloak walks beside a little boy in a green coat and a black hat towards the tent on our far right. A man in a red cloak stands beside the tent with his back to us, facing a small boy in yellow and white clothes. In front of the tent, a woman sits on the base of a flag pole and appears to be arranging some items. To our left a tall man in a red cloak and a black cap stands looking directly at the clock tower, while a spotted dog sniffs the ground nearby. Further back and to our left, a pair of women dressed in light blue and black clothing stand and speak with one another. A woman in a yellow dress approaches the scene from the far left corner of the painting. Smaller less detailed depictions of people are standing or walking in front of the buildings in the background. In the center of the facade of the white clock tower building, there is a large blue clock just above the building’s arched main entrance. There is a large bell on the roof and the sculptures of two men are standing on each side of it, ready to strike the bell. The canvas is framed in an ornate gold frame composed of flowers and ornamental designs.
