This is a horizontal, rectangular wooden panel, depicting two scenes animated by human figures and divided by a colorful central motif. The color palette is mostly silver-grey for the humans, with a wide band of teal blue for the sky and a dusty grey, textured ground. A strip of wood extends across the top of the panel, and nine wooden tails are visible along each side. Starting with the left-side image, on our far left, there is a partial view of a large throne constructed in masonry, bearing a seated royal figure wearing a beard and a crown. To the left of the throne there are two standing bearded men, one wearing a cowl and the other a brimmed hat. The enthroned one seems to be signaling towards a knight-like figure, while several soldiers dressed for battle, many wearing helmets with decorative feathers on top, are milling around. Some appear to be in conversation while others observe. There are two soldiers on horseback, facing to our left and holding flags on poles. Next, in the center there is a colorful wreathlike section which contains an unidentified coat of arms. It has a leafy green background with gold-colored leaflike items around the outer edge. A thin red band encircles scrolling red and silver leaves and the coat of arms. The symbols on the coat of arms are a head, a basket, a star, and a basket. To our right, the second scene depicts a few tents, with flags flying from their tops. Several soldiers gather, some standing, one on the ground and several on horseback. One rider blows a bugle and others hold up sticklike objects. Stylized tall trees with clumps of leaves adorning their sparse branches span the width of the panel.
