This six-fold Japanese screen dates from the 17th century and measures approximately 63 inches by 120 inches. The screen is decorated with an image of grapevines that is done on paper in ink and gold leaf on a dark green background. The lush bunches of gold grapes are seen rising from the bottom edge and hanging downward from brown horizontal branches. This piece has a border that is decorated with a stylized floral pattern in light blue on an olive-green background. It is displayed in a plain black frame.
