A German rectangular iron box decorated with multi-colored paint. The front of the box, on our right, shows two people with medium-light skin in a garden. An angel grappling with a person is on our left. Both of the figures have medium-light skin. A curvy metal strip separates the two scenes. Four vertical, green leafy stems, each with a red and white flower at the top, are painted on the back of the box. Each is separated by a flowerless stem. The stems are painted over three raised upright rectangular pieces connected to the hinges of the box. Two stems with peony-like flowers are painted on the short sides of the box. The edges of the box are overlaid with fluted trim.  Narrow strips of metal cover the bottom edges. The top of the box is overlaid with strips on front and side edges. In the middle is a strip embellished with flowers and hinged at the back. Inserted into the center of the strip is a ring-shaped handle. The box rests on four small globular feet. A large ring is attached to both sides of the box, attached to a star-shaped overlay. A hook around each ring anchors the box to a rectangular wooden base.
