This pastel on paper depicts a group of six light-skinned people gathered in front of a thatched-roof cottage to the viewer's right. The women have white scarves on their heads, wear long skirts and shawls around their shoulders. One man has suspenders holding his pants and another has on a large-brimmed hat. One child stands near the cluster of people, and another squats near a stream at the center of the image. There are several large trees to the left of the cottage and another smaller tree on the left border. The horizon is visible between the break in the trees and there is a cloud-filled blue sky above. This work is inscribed in the lower left: “C.T.”.
