Join us on the first Thursday of every month for an exciting evening of discovery and community. Museum admission is free from 3 pm through 9 pm and programs kick off at 5 pm. Explore the magic of the Museum’s gardens and galleries at night and stop by Café G for dinner and drinks.

Celebrate freedom of expression with Bohemian Botanica, an artistic, revolutionary communal space curated by luminary and poet Luna Del Flor and featuring artists DJ Big Leaf, Jason Wright, Tim Hall and The House of Nahdra. Enjoy house music and the sounds of revolution with a special showcase of the art of self expression with vulnerability, personal experience, style, and grace. Visit the Studio for art-making activities led by visiting Polly Thayer Starr artist. Enjoy the museum's current exhibitions Inventing Isabella and Rewriting History throughout the evening.

  • Art-Making | 5-8 pm

    Bertucci Education Studio

    Stop by the Education Studio and join us for lively drop-in art-making activities inspired by the Gardner collection. Projects explore a variety of skills, materials, and processes including painting and sketching, printmaking, book arts, sculpture, and horticulture. In collaboration with Polly Thayer Starr Visiting Studio Artist, Hannah Oatman, get creative in the Studio and design paper collaged wearable pins while exploring the art of automatic drawing.

    Prompts and materials will be provided.

  • Bohemian Botanica - The Revolutionary Salon | 5-8 pm

    Courtyard

    Celebrate the art of self expression with this very special showcase of spoken word, music, and fashion featuring an amazing array of artists of multiple mediums. Luminary Luna Del Flor invites hostess Mars Calderon, DJ Big Leaf, award-winning musician and artist Tim Hall, poet & mental health advocate Jason Wright, and designer Nahdra Ra of The House of Nahdra to perform in Bohemian Botanica, inspired by Isabella’s own tradition of hosting artist salons. The courtyard will be transformed into a communal space of performance.
