The legacy of Isabella Stewart Gardner continues to inspire the work of the Museum. She built the institution that bears her name as an act of civic leadership, believing that everyone deserves access to beauty and the power of art, and that engaging in cultural experiences can offer us new perspectives on the world we live in. This still holds true today.
To celebrate all of you who demonstrated your own civic leadership by voting, and to provide a place of joy, respite, and connection during a stressful election season, the Gardner Museum is offering free general admission to the community on Wednesday, November 6, the day after Election 2024.
This augments our annual Free Days (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Juneteenth, and Indigenous Peoples’ Day) and monthly Free First Thursdays. Come enjoy magnificent works of art, the ever-flowering Courtyard, and a welcome sense of community!
