The excellent period-instrument ensemble ACRONYM returns to the Gardner, joined by the superb Boston-based countertenor Reginal Mobley. Their program explores lesser-known treasures of Baroque music, including a heart-rending choral-prelude by the elder cousin of J.S. Bach. Notably, ACRONYM is bringing works by four remarkable Italian women composers, as well as a motet by Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I.
