Both Schopenhauer and Goethe argued that colors can be dangerous—often causing philosophers to rant and rave. Whether a matter of aesthetics or taste, it's true that personal responses to color in visual arts are instinctive and often intense. In this tour, participants will consider Isabella Stewart Gardner's and artists' use of color to create ambiance, engagement, and an enduring impression.
Open to all members, $10 per person (maximum of two tickets for Friend level and above). Advance registration is required. Thematic Tours are limited to 15 people.
